Traditional Irish music & dance are part of the daily life of local people and therefore many of the pubs have traditional music sessions all year long.
The area around Miltown Malbay has a lot to offer for holiday makers: the sandy beaches of White Strand and Spanish Point are ideal for bathing, while the waves rolling in from the Atlantic offer perfect conditions for surfing; the clear water off the west coast is also a heaven for divers; the quiet country roads are ideal for walking and cycling in the rolling hills of West Clare which also host a number of fishing lakes and rivers attracting the angler.
Miltown Malbay is central to all the other sights in the West of Clare like the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, the Aran Islands and the Burren in the North, as well as to Loop Head Peninsula and Scattery Island in the South!
